As a part of the European Heritage Days which took place on the 21st and 22nd Semptember 2019, we had the pleasure of hosting the temporary exhibition of the canals of Burgondy, Nivernais and the Centre by the Batellerie Museum in St-Jean-de-Losne.

During this weekend, the Museum also proposed to xome and discover the world of the batellerie to taking advantage of the ASTER’s open doors, a wooden houseboat being restored by volunteers, as well as a free guided tour to the museum, that you can find all year round at 5 rue de la liberté in St-Jean-de-Losne.

We hope that other events in partnership with the museum will take place.

Photographic exhibition at the Salon Fluvial of St-Jean-de-Losne.    27/28 april 2019

Our first exhibition present the achievements of two amateur photographers living the waterway in two different ways. We invited you to the Salon Fluvial to enter and share their view of a world that they are so passionate about : that of river transport. Guillaume KIFFER is a collector, a passionate archivist and grandson of lock. What fascinates hi mis not photography but the subject of his photos : the batellery. Together with two collaborators they began to build a database on inland navigation boats, Guillaume playes a rôle as an image-contributor throught his photographs and collections of old books.

Brigitte CHARRIOT is a teacher by trade and an artist at heart. She was attracted by « the sky, the color of the water, the reflections, the expanse and the space. » Photography on board a boat allows her to see nature from another angle, with a different eye.

We invite you to discover or rediscover the exhibition at Pavillons des Escapades.
